Name: Kadiesha Streble

School: South Oldham Middle School

Postition: Outfield

Age: 13

History: Streble, an eighth-grader at South Oldham Middle School has been a part-time starter in the outfield for the South Oldham High School varsity softball team this season.

A solid defensive player with good range she has shown an improved arm through the season.

"Probably my throwing was the thing I needed to work on the most," Streble said. "The players are faster and the game is faster so you have to get the ball where it needs to be fast."

Streble began playing at the age of 8 in the North Oldham Little League and said the move to high school ball was about what she expected with one exception.

"The conditioning was something I didn't expect," Streble said. "It was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life."

Other activities: Streble is a straight-A student. She said social studies is her favorite subject because her teacher Ron Adkisson makes it interesting.

When not playing softball, Streble likes to hang out with friends and listen to music. Lil' Wayne is her favorite artist.

Future plans: Streble has an unusual career goal.

"I want to be a marriage counselor," she said. "I just like helping people and I think I am good at relationships."
