Name: Keith Henry.
School: Oldham County Middle School.
Position: Sprinter in track and running back/linebacker in football.
Hometown: La Grange.
Accomplishments: A two-sport star for OCMS, Henry is a standout in track and in football for the Colonels.
In track, he set a new school record this spring in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.96 seconds.
He also ran the 100-meter dash and was a member of the relay teams.
At the middle school state meet this spring, Henry ran ninth in the 100 with a time of 12.44 seconds.
Henry was 13th in the 200-meter at the state with a time of 25.72 seconds.
The 6-foot, 175-pound Henry was also a standout in football playing tailback and defensive line and is already working out with the Oldham County High School program where he is projected at tailback and linebacker.
“Football is my favorite sport because I like the contact,” Henry said.
Henry started his football career at 9 in the Oldham County Youth Football League as a member of the La Grange Jets.
He plans on competing in both sports in high school.
School: An A-B student, Henry said social studies is his favorite subject.
Other activities: When not running or playing ball, Henry enjoys riding his dirt bike on his family’s property with his dad, Rob, and his younger brother, Jason.
