Name: Trenton Fryman.

School: North Oldham Middle School.

Sport: Cross country.

Age: 11.

Hometown: Goshen.

Accomplishments: Fryman, a sixth-grader, has stepped right in as a top runner for the NOMS program this year.

In the Mustangs’ first meet Saturday at the St. X  Tiger Run he led NOMS to the team title while running seventh with a time of 10:36.22. NOMS edged Holy Trinity 77-86 for the team title. 

Fryman was a top runner for the Goshen Elementary team last season finishing fourth in the elementary state meet.

He came to cross country by accident when he started running in the second grade.

 “I thought I was going to lacrosse practice and I got there and it was cross country,” Fryman said. “I actually ended up really liking it.”

Other sports: Fryman also plays lacrosse for the NOMS indoor team.

He has also played booster basketball on the NOMS campus. Cross country is his first love and priority.

“I think mostly because I am good at it and I have a lot of friends that do it,” he said.

Other activities: An accomplished guitar player, Fryman plays in a band called “The Raging Rabid Monkeys” who play classic rock covers.

School: Fryman was an A student at Goshen Elementary and said science is his favorite school subject.
