The giving spirit in Oldham County extends year-round, not just after natural disasters.
Several charities in the county help furnish needy families with clothing, household items and toiletries.
The Agape Thrift Shop, part of Immaculate Conception Church, moved to a new location in February, more than doubling its previous space, according to Barb Johnson, the church’s business manager.
She said the shop has served the community for more than 30 years as a place for people to purchase clothing and household items at a minimal cost.
