Aces beat Yankees

The Oldham Aces Post 39 American Legion baseball team beat the Yankees 11-3 in a tournament in Evansville, Ind., Friday. The Aces got their offense untracked behind the bat of leadoff hitter Andy Wood.

Wood hit and home run and had a pair of doubles to drive in three runs and lead the Aces to the win.

Mike Davis also had three hits, including a double and drove in two runs.

Winning pitcher Alex Sharrard went five innings scattering five hits. He also had a two-run double to aid his own cause.

The Aces posted a 1-2 record in the tournament.
