AAOC Layoring Creativity Watercolor Workshop

LAYERING CREATIVITY: A watercolor workshop held at Gallery 104, LaGrange, KY, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, November 8, 9 and 10, 2012. The exciting use of underpaintings will add another layer of interest to any subject matter you may want to depict. With this technique you can be traditional, impressionistic and abstract and all in the same painting. gail will demonstrate for you her eight different techniques of underpaintings. These techniques are: UNEQUAL CHECKERBOARD, INTERMINGLED COLOR, UNEQUAL RECTANGLES, OPEN FLOW, (the technique most popular with her students), TAPED SHAPES, WRINKLE WRAP, CIRCLE OF LIGHT, and DISAPPEARING PURPLES. After gail’s review of each technique of underpainting, the participant may choose the technique(s) they would like to use in their paintings during this workshop. gail will also demonstrate ‘DRAWING WITH A BRUSH’.
