32 students chosen as governor’s scholars

Thirty-two students from local public schools have been selected as 2011 Kentucky Governor’s Scholars.

Established in 1983, the scholars program offers a summer residential experience, liberal arts programming and co-curricular activities at three different Kentucky university campuses for rising high school seniors.

Four North Oldham High students were selected; 16 from Oldham County High; and 12 from South Oldham High School.

NOHS students include Fa-Yu Hou, Esther Li, Timothy Petrosius and Kimberly Taylor.
