New interactive sports chat with The Oldham Era
The Oldham Era's Sports Guy will be introducing a weekly chat where he'll have guest speakers that are directly involved in or have ties to Oldham County. He plans on getting things moving next week, probably Thursday or Friday. Give us your feedback vis The Oldham Era Sports Guy's Facebook page and some times that would be best for you to tune in and join us, as well as some guests you'd like to have on the chat! Register for SOHS Lacrosse
South Oldham Club Lacrosse registration for spring leagues will be held 4-6pm, Dec. 5 and Dec. 12 at Camden Station Elementary School and 10 a.m.-noon Dec. 10 at East Oldham Middle School. Registration is open to boys, grades 3-8, who are residents of Oldham County. Thye Bantan League (grades 3/4) is $200.00 for new players and $150.00 for returning players. Youth League (grades 5/6) is $250.00 for new players and $200.00 for returning. Middle School (7/8 grades) is $250.00 for new players and $200.00 for returning. Registration for our popular youth basketball program is still going on. We offer up to a 7-game
season plus a season-ending tournament or jamboree for boys (1st – 8th grade) and girls (1st – 6th
grade) for $55.00. We offer a discount for parents that volunteer to coach their child’s team. Season
begins on Saturday, January 7th. All practices and games are held on Saturday mornings only.
Coaches are still needed. Coach your child's team and receive a $10.00 discount on your

Adult Co-ed Volleyball League
The Oldham County adult coed volleyball league begins the last week in January each year. Matches
are held at Oldham County Middle School. Registration is accepted December 1st through January
19th. The league fee of $150.00 per team includes up to a 7-match schedule plus a single-elimination
tournament. League play begins on Thursday, January 26, 2012. For more information, call (502) 225-0655.
Father / Daughter Dance: 6:30-8:30 p.m, January 27 and 28.
This event has become so popular; we’re now offering two nights to dance away. Dads and their best girl (or
girls) can come out to the John W. Black Community Center for a fun-filled night of dancing and contests. A
live D.J. and light refreshments accentuate the evening as well as a photographer for capturing this special
moment. The $12.00 per couple cost includes a rose for your date. For multiple daughters, add $6.00 each.
Tickets go on sale December 1st and must be purchased by January 26th at 4:00 p.m. Tickets will not be
