11-year-old finishes as top female in race series

At first glance, Katy Chapman looks like any other 11-year-old girl.
What sets the East Oldham Middle School student apart though is what she’s accomplished in the last few months, finishing first place overall in the women’s division in the Polar Bear Grand Prix race series.
The series, which consisted of three races over the past three months, pitted more than 2,500 runners of all ages, including adults, against each other.
Let that sink in: first women’s finisher, 2,500 runners overall.
