Although no one hit the $51 million Mega Millions jackpot last night there was a ticket worth $1,000,000 sold in Kentucky.
The $1 million ticket matched all five numbers but not the Mega Ball in Tuesday night’s drawing. The lucky ticket holder(s) also chose to play the Megaplier feature. The second prize would normally pay $250,000 but by selecting Megaplier, the prize is an automatic win of $1 million. Megaplier costs $1 per Mega Ball play.
The winning numbers were: 3-5-10-26-27 and the Mega Ball was 27. The Megaplier number was 2.
Kentucky Lottery Corporation officials encourage the ticket holder(s) to sign the back of the ticket immediately. The winner(s) has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
The winning ticket was sold at La Grange Hop Shop Marathon in La Grange. The retailer will receive $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.
Friday’s Mega Millions jackpot is an estimated $61 million with a cash option amount of $44.8 million.
