In an effort to reduce hydrocarbons in surface runoff, Pewee Valley city officials are planning a “pervious parking” lot next to City Hall.
Council members unanimously voted May 2 to award $3,500 to Environs Inc., a Louisville-based landscape architecture firm, to design the lot.
The design and materials would be similar to those at Big Rock at Cherokee Park in Louisville, which allow water to penetrate surfaces instead of runoff.
